Testing Mindquarry as a collaboration app - part 1.
By antti • Aug 2nd, 2007 • Category: UncategorizedIt´s a amazing how we can suddenly find something that will chance your life. I believe that either cool-looking Mindquarry (www.mindquarry.com) or some sort of another innovative open source based app will take place of Mediawiki as a collaboration platform.
The idea of Mediawiki is a superb (wiki). In my opinion this app (Wikipedia uses Mediawiki platform) is too clumsy. E.g I don´t like how to write and rewrite your materials in Mediawiki (wikicode is difficult to handle and hard to teach customers using Mediawiki properly). That´s why I am actively searching platform that can be better, simplier and more intuitive than Mediawiki.
As said Mindquarry looks and sounds interesting. A German-based firm Mindquarry GmbH has been launched Operation Mindquarry (the add is mine). The challenge is huge. It is going to integrate tools for file sharing, tasks management and wiki editing with email management. It´s start up that has been awarded by Red Herring at spring.
So boys in firm that I am working for are installing Mindquarry to server. After that I´ll continue my reviews.
Thank you for the time of testing and installing Mindquarry. We are currently working on Mindquarry 1.2 which contains additional features for group discussions, file management on the web and better search for tasks.
