“Brand yourself if you have something unique to share”

Some writers in Changethis.com has been arguing about the benefits of self-branding during this autumn. The title of this article is summarizing the idea of Alan Parr and Karen Ansbaugh, who have written a nice article about it. In the article  “I am A Walrus” they are referring this self-branding idea to the story of Beatles.

I have been a curious about this topic. Like anybody else I am an unique and special. Therefore, why just build a reputation, my own special brand, in which I am just positively distinguishing myself from the others.

I am not  sure, why we should always to be able to offer something unique. What is unique? I believe that it´s our basic right to make our voices heard in public whatever those ideas might be. Just step out from the darkness and go on the stage – “Here I am and I have something to say to you.”

During this autumn I have been planting my ideas (my uniqueness) carefully. Officially I launched two websites two weeks ago. With these I am promoting and sharing my thoughts. By doing this I am following one of my passions.

One of them is focused on celebrating the creativity of ourselves. On freeingminds.fi I am writing columns and telling about ideas and techniques how to be more creative.

I consider this topic essential because the creativity and positivity should be playing more central role in our lives. Unfortunately, It´s now in Finnish, but your never know, when I am going to bring ideas in English.

On smartwaysweb.com I am trying to find out and share ideas, how we can to be smarter users on the Web. We are spending so much time in front of screen, but we are wasting time due to inconvenient procedures and habits. In my opinion we don´t know about huge possibilities that exist.

Both sites are closer in my heart. I am hoping that I can inspire people and grown also while working on with them.
