Mobiles and Mobile Web – new hopes for business in globally

By Antti Haverinen Jan 29th, 2009

Why I did´t figured out this before. The Mobile Web can really get back to the growing business and help people around the world.

I´ve been using Mobile Web since 2007 with my smartphone Nokia E61 without noticing the huge importance of Mobile Web as a phenomenon.

One of my gratitude goes Dr. Joel Selanikio, who was arguing about the revolution of Mobile Web on BBC News. In his article The invisible computer revolution (really recommended) he underlines the fact that the mobility along with Internet is revolutionizing in developing world.

In simple terms, it is changing the conditions of living there. According to him only a few in the rich countries are seriously understanding the real impact of that.

“…it can be hard to see the potential of something much smaller, even if it´s right in your pocket.”, he says by telling that Mobile Web is undervalued in rich countries compared to developing countries. In latter case the mobiles are being used to improve education, literacy, public health, banking.

Dr. Selanikio is right. Why aren´t we using the mobile web as a globally making good and growing business. It should be remembered that also the poor people have their rights to Internet.
