Developing templates and features

I have strong knowledge of implementation of ‘visual look’n feel’ and add some user-friedly features with xHTML/CSS/JQUERY.

By customizing and modifying best (html/CSS) templates and the most trusted functionalities (components) I have improved several websites in terms of quality and cost-efficiency.

I have also used to integrate a number of social media features (e.g. Facebook Fan Page on suomi-klubi.com and Twitter on smartwaysweb.com) into Web Services.

Maintaining open source platforms

As a Web Communications Specialist I maintain and re-develop two Web Services for Finnish Expat community in Brussels. Both main site and its discussion board are running on award-winning content management system (CMS) Joomla 1.5.x-series.

For several projects WordPress open source blog and publishing platform has been integrated.

I have gained also understanding with Drupal. Take have a look on my Drupal demo-area, in which I tested some its wonderful SEO-features.

Needless to say, my day-to-day routines are to keep several CMS secured and upgrade them if needed. Typically I am using cPanel and FTP in order to update them.

Designing with Adobe Creative Suite

When drawing illustrations and designing other visual elements, professional tools play an important role in my work flow. By using Adobe Creative Suite (Mac or Windows-environment) the quality can be guaranteed.

Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Fireworks are wonderful applications for communication specialist.
